A dynamic showcase of creativity transforms Phelps Lane Park in North Babylon, New York, into an immersive public arts exhibition.
The Long Island Public Arts Festival (LIPAF), curated by Harper Bella and Jose Tutiven in partnership with the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts and Creatives Rebuild New York, represents a groundbreaking showcase of artistic diversity on Long Island. Featuring over 20 artists, the festival presents a wide range of mediums—including photography, collage, and oil and acrylic painting—on large-scale vinyl installations.
As the first public art installation of its kind in the region, LIPAF offers artists at various stages of their careers a platform for visibility and creative expression. With no thematic restrictions, the featured works span a broad spectrum of topics, encouraging a dynamic dialogue between the artists, the community, and the environment.
The exhibition will run from June 13, 2024 to August 31, 2024.
